New Book, New Site

Quick update on a few things.

First - big news! My new book The Defederalized Democrat is coming out soon: pre-order here. It explores how states will increasingly be on the frontline in the ongoing federal vs state power debate. With the federal government rapidly shutting down programs, agencies, and funding that states depend on, the landscape is changing quickly. How far and how extreme things might get remains uncertain.

Currently, we're seeing two competing goals within the Republican coalition: discrediting the federal government, and using federal power to enforce cultural objectives. The Defederalized Democrat examines the implication of this in detail, and recommends strategies for states on how to respond.

Second, I'm rebranding the website, etc to Scenario Exploder to support new content initiatives. If you enjoy channels like Perun on YouTube, you'll likely find my upcoming work interesting. Writing books is great, but they take an awfully long time...
